Still Life Drawing Sessions

Sashiko and Boro: 2-Day Class - PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED

Saturday September 19th & Sunday September 20th, 10am-12pm both days

Saturday October 3rd & Sunday October 4th, 10am-12pm both days

Join studio member Kipp Inglis to learn embroidery techniques that are perfect for beginning stitchers and practiced hand sewers alike.

Sashiko and Boro are a Japanese style of creating patterns using a simple stab or running stitch.  Sashiko is based on patterns created on a grid.  Boro is simple stitching used for layering and patching clothing and home textile furnishings.  Sashiko follows some rules for style, while Boro follows what works for mending.
